We are also independently certified for ISO 9001. This is our Quality Management System which has been externally audited by an approved certification body and ensures that the managed hosting solutions we design, develop and maintain for our clients are of the highest standard. PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)

We are PCI DSS compliant company. And we can also provide you with your own independent certification to demonstrate that data you host on servers with us are also protected to this standard.

G-Cloud 5

Our data centres are G-Cloud 5 approved suppliers, enabling us to provide the public sector with cloud and infrastructure solutions under the latest 2012 initiative. The G-Cloud framework allows public sector customers to buy pay-as-you go commoditised cloud based solutions through an agreement that is compliant, regulated and refreshed.

Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials certifies that our data centre was assessed as meeting the Cyber Essentials implementation profile [BIS/14/696] and, at the time of testing, their ICT defences were assessed as satisfactory against commodity based cyber-attack.

Data Protection

Storm Internet adhere to the UK “Data Protection Act 1998” and the “EU Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC)” governing the rights and duties of companies to safeguard personal data.

Carbon Managers

Storm Internet is a partner of Carbon Managers and the Trees4Business campaign. This partnership allows us to offset our remaining carbon emissions by 400%, making Storm Internet a 100% green company and boosting our standing in the green hosting category.

The core objective of the Trees4Business campaign is to plant over 100,000 trees each year, with a number of businesses from a range of sectors contributing to the programme. Storm Internet has committed to the planting of 500 trees each year and having been a member for 3 years now, has helped to plant around 1,500 trees in the Alladale Reserve, Scotland.

ISO 17788 & ISO 17789 - Information technology - Cloud computing

As best practice, we reference this international standard guideline on Cloud computing overview and vocabulary when engaging customers as they outline and define common cloud computing terms to be used and references architecture on how the various aspects of cloud computing relate to one another.
